Global Youth Corps

Global Youth Corps also known as GYC is a non-for-profit organization based in India. It has been officially established in 2016 but the idea for change was formed way before 2016. We focus on UNsdg’s goals of mission 2030 especially SDG 4 (Education), Youth development, Skill Development, Economic development and Climate Change in particular. Our volunteerism program is one of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir which allows anyone to work with us for positive collective change. We welcome everyone onboard.

Mission Statement

Our Aim is to empower Youth in need. Through our various projects / Partners in Education, Skill & Sustainability Development, Child Protection, Women Empowerment, Youth Advocacy, Peace Justice and Strong Institutions, we have reached thousands of women, men, Children and Youth across J&K and beyond. GYC is constantly promoting and working as first organization to promote and create leaders on UNSDG’s (Mission 2030) to make collective narratives of tomorrow.

Competitions and Awards

Global Youth Corps aims to bring out the literary talent to fore. In this regard we at GYC conducts different programs, workshops and competitions for new comers. Aimed to boost the regional languages, our main focus would be to promote Urdu/Kashmiri language which caters maximum audience. In this regard we will be conducting competitions on English/Urdu/Kashmiri Poetry, Fiction Writing, and Podcasting etc.

Latest Projects

Pukaar (Education Enhancement Project)

Educational Support for poor school going children

Keeping Sustainable Developmental Goal 4 into consideration where in GYC focuses on quality education, we have sponsored 177 children so far with complete school kits.

Impact: Poor children especially from frontier district like Kupwara can’t afford school books and other items and this always ends up their parents to remove the ward from schools. We initiated PUKAAR to reach such needy children in need.

GLOBAL PEACE CAMPAIGN

Global peace campaign through Rumi peace Centre is one of the important projects in GYC. Through this campaign, we get people around the world who voice for peace and no war. Last year’s campaign was attended by global peace ambassadors from 37 countries online.
